How We Match Pupils with Tutors
Principal Tutors is not a traditional educational institution.
We are much more than simply a directory of tutors, a noticeboard where the onus is on you to make contact and decide whose services to use. Rather, we take a personalised approach to tutor and student relationship building.
Our role is two-fold. Firstly, we create and maintain a pool of the most talented, motivated and experienced online tutors, constantly reviewing, revising and expanding it. We only work with UK qualified teachers, and we only take on the best; in fact, we reject 98% of those that apply to tutor with us!
Secondly, based on your requirements, aims and preferences, we make an informed decision as to which tutors we believe will deliver for your child, in terms of the learning experience and the end results. We ask the tutor to conduct their own initial assessment of your child’s current capabilities in the subject and the best way to help them develop. If either party feels they are not quite the best match, we will revisit the process as required.
We are facilitators. We are here to ensure that students and tutors alike are entirely comfortable with their arrangement and can derive rewards, results and satisfaction from the relationship.
